Established 6th October, 2022. This blog is just the beginning of Jason and Marion’s hobby farm. We hope you enjoy watching our antics as we renovate, explore, and have heaps of fun figuring out how to get our farm working.
Our farm diary… Day 1 – leaving the Gold Coast.

bye …
After travelling for over seven hours with two kitty cats and a very heavy load, a couple of food and water stops, and picking up keys from Gin Gin at Sutton Nationwide Realty. Ian was lovely enough to wait for us to get through the last road works lights. The trip will be much quicker when they finish the road improvements. We arrived at our farm. I almost lost Watson as I took him out of his box to see where we were. I thought he might want to relieve himself but it was dark and scary. And cats are not like dogs in that regard. Jason took Cassie inside and she was fine after we were all in the house but Watson found hidey holes to shiver in that night, and well into the next day. He felt better after I picked him up out of the pantry top shelf and cuddled him close saying he is my beautiful, handsome boy and I love him. I was forgiven for the trauma and thankfully he came back to his inquisitive self.

Day 2.
Wake up

Jason was up and on the ride on mower from about 5 or 5.30am, looking around the property but I (Marion) woke at around 6.30am when he brought the mower back to the house. We sipped coffee for breakfast whilst enjoying the view.

Explore
Jason was so excited to have a farm to explore and took videos.
If you can’t stand the rumble of the ride on mower, just mute the sound and enjoy the view!
Clean
After breakfast, I started cleaning the house. However, I did get a chance to take the mower for a quick ride. It was fun.
I also had a good walk around the fruit trees. We have almost 20 mango trees! Yum. Plus mulberry, coffee plants, bananas, grapes, dragonfruit and citrus fruits.
Enjoy
To top off our fun, we sat back and enjoyed our new views …
